Tara Wright, from the Survivor Resource Center, recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. Part of their conversation was about the upcoming WAVE event, being put together by the Violence Prevention Task Force. WAVE stands for “Wash Away Violence Event;” as Tara Wright explains further.
AUDIO: And so we are going to promote this, out at Fair Oaks Pavilion. And it’s going to be a great time. We want people to be able to get together and have fun for the kids with inflatables, dunk tanks, different sport activities, giveaways; and everything is free. So free food, free prizes. And we want people to come together as a community to talk about the areas of violence we see; and “What do we think about it; How do we feel about it?”
Numerous guest speakers are scheduled as well. That Violence Prevention Task Force WAVE event will be 10 AM to 2 PM; on Saturday, July 29th; out at Fair Oaks Pavilion.
