THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE BARBERSHOP CHORUS RELEASE
The Danville Barbershop Chorus is hosting their first “Polecats in the Park” free concert at the Lincoln Park Stage on Tuesday, September 12. The program will begin at 6:00 pm.
“‘Polecat’ songs are some of the bedrock barbershop staples,” notes chorus director Marty Lindvahl. “Folks will recognize some of the traditional numbers, like ‘My Wild Irish Rose,’ ‘Let Me Call You Sweetheart’ or ‘Wait Till The Sun Shines Nellie.’”
Other numbers will include ‘The Chordbusters March’ and ‘With A Little Help From My Friends.’ The program should last about 30-40 minutes. Those attending are invited to bring their lawn chairs, with some benches available for seating.
