Rising Tide Mental Health Conference Getting Closer: Oct 6th & 7th; Save by Getting Tix by this Fri (15th)

The Rising Tide Mental Health Conference is coming up Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th; in the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium at Danville High School.  The 708 Mental Health Board is joining forces with Gateway Family Services of Illinois and the Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation to bring this conference back to the area.  There will be co-host sites around the world, and a previous conference was held in 2021.

Michael Remole of Gateway Family Services says there will be numerous experts there to speak with not only professionals in mental health care, but to all residents who would like some help in approaching life’s challenges.

AUDIO: Whether you’re a parent frustrated with your kid or overwhelmed, not sure how to navigate this; you’re a teacher, just discouraged with the behaviors of your students; everybody’s going to benefit from this conference and the people that are presenting have a lot to teach us.  We just encourage anybody to come on out.

Some of the guests will be live and in person, while others will be virtual.  Twenty breakout presentations and six keynote presenters are scheduled.  Tickets to the entire two-day session are $179, with the price going up to $199 this Saturday the 16th.  Remole says you can get tickets at risingtideconference.com.

AUDIO: Because if we’re really going to address the mental health crisis that we’re facing, it’s going to take all of us to come together.  And so we want to equip parents, teachers, community leaders; that we can help each one of us address this in our own sphere of influence, if you will.

One of the guests, 4:30 to 6:30 PM Saturday, will be Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Most Valuable Player Ben Zobrist.  Remole says you can purchase a ticket for that session alone, but he would recommend that you do it ahead of time.
