The annual Vermilion River Fall Festival in Ellsworth Park will include the annual Saturday morning cleanup effort. You can join Keep Vermilion County Beautiful to do something special for the Vermilion River at Ellsworth Park. Danville mayor Rickey Williams, Jr reminds us of the importance of this.
AUDIO: We did a major cleanup when the state removed the dams there. But unfortunately, people always seem to leave more rubbish. It’s a big thing to help protect something amazing that we have for our community. There aren’t many place where a river runs through your town. When everyone comes together to help clean it up and make it beautiful, especially in a park that’s so well used; it’s just something that we should all be proud of.
Saturday’s cleanup will be 9 to 11 AM. You can RSVP at 217-304-7541. Please wear appropriate clothes and bring work gloves.
