Two Danville Fire Department promotions occurred at the start of Tuesday evening’s (Sept 19th) Danville City Council meeting. Ryan Allison was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain, while Tom Darby was promoted from Captain to Assistant Fire Chief.

Danville Fire Chief Aaron Marcott stated that these are two very deserving people.
AUDIO: Those two individuals are probably some of the best in the business anywhere in the world, and we have them here in Danville. It’s a pleasure to be around them. They work hard every day. They come in early. They’re always answering their phone when I call. It’s tremendous assets to have those two in this department.
