THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
The City of Danville would like to announce that CSX Railroad has informed the city they will have a complete closure at the roadway crossing on East West Newell Road for maintenance of their tracks. Beginning Monday, September 25, 2023, East West Newell Road at the CSX Railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic while the crossing is having upgraded rail maintenance.
The work and closure at this crossing are anticipated to last during the entire week. Motorists should use caution around the work zone and choose an alternate route. Detour signage will be in place during the closure.
