The Westville Lions Club says refund information will be available soon for people who purchased tickets for a Tracy Lawrence concert. The concert was supposed to be held at Westville’s Zamberletti Park on September 2nd as part of the community’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.
The Lions Club says the sound system that was contracted by the Club’s promoter failed on the afternoon of the concert. Tracy Lawrence was unable to do sound checks due to the faulty equipment which forced the concert to be postponed. The Lions Club says it regrets what happened, adding it was not the fault of either Tracy Lawrence or the Lions Club.
While there had been talk of a makeup show on the Saturday evening of Labor Day Weekend in 2024, Lawrence’s management team is now looking to accept a competing offer at a different location. And the Lions Club says it did not want to have the concert on other dates over the 2024 Labor Day Weekend because it would have conflicted with events hosted by St. Mary’s Church and the Westville American Legion.
Information on refunds for the concert will be announced soon. Meanwhile the Westville Lions Club says it is looking forward to hosting another event on August 31st, 2024.
