Former Danville Dashers owner Barry Soskin says he has already submitted a proposal to bring professional hockey back to Danville for the 2024-25 season. A few days ago we heard from David S. Palmer Arena general manager Terri Gaffney, saying that RFPs were sent to numerous midwestern hockey leagues, including the Federal Prospects Hockey League that Soskin is involved with; as his group represents five different teams.
Soskin says that previously he did submit a bid to bring the Dashers back, but that the Arena Board was asking for a two-year lease, and he wanted more. Soskin says this time, he’s hoping his idea for longer works out.

The Arena Board is accepting proposals until October 23rd, with plans to discuss them at the October 25th meeting.
