Believe it or not, it is here and the time is now. Toys for Tots of the Danville, IL area will be kicking off its annual toy drive with yet another appearance outside Courtesy Dodge, at 231 Main Street in Danville; this Friday, October 13th, 8 AM to 6 PM.
The is the 76th year nationally for Toys for Tots, and the Danville region will once again cover Vermilion County in Illinois, along with Fountain and Warren Counties in Indiana.

Friday’s John Zarn Memorial Toy Drive Kickoff will once again include the one and only Santa Claus.
Coordinator Megan Montgomery says there are already signs that there will be lots of children to take care of this year.
AUDIO: We expect our need to be greater this year. We know that a lot of people are struggling. We’ve already been contacted by people asking for help for Christmas. So, we’re figuring we really need to have a big kick off this year.
John Zarn, who served in the United States Marines, was the founder and longtime coordinator for Toys for Tots of the Danville, IL area. Donations of new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations will be accepted all day Friday; and soon afterwards you’ll find 30 collection boxes all throughout the region for monetary donations, and about 80 to 100 toy drop off locations.
