Red Mask Players is getting ready to present a show called “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.” Meredith Black, who plays the next door neighbor Nina in the show, recently explained the setting to Laura Williams, on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: Three siblings, somewhere in their 50s; and whether it’s by circumstance or by chance, they’re all reaching the twilight years and realizing that either they haven’t really lived their life, or they have lived their life and things haven’t worked out the way they had.
But Red Mask president Lisa Lovelace says, that doesn’t mean this is an overly serious show.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: You can expect to laugh a lot. This is not one of those cerebral “oh, I have to think about it” comedies. This is; you will laugh out loud. I guarantee it.
This Red Mask presentation will be October 27th through 29th and November 3rd through 5th. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 PM, with Sunday shows at 2 PM. Tickets are $20 each, or $18 for seniors and students; season memberships are still available. For tickets call 217-442-5858, or go to RedMaskPlayers.com.
