The Illinois Broadcasters Association handed out its annual Silver Dome Awards on Tuesday night in Normal, IL. Named after the dome that tops the Illinois Capital Building, these are the awards given for the best work from Television & Radio stations throughout Illinois in 2022. Neuhoff Media Danville, WDAN-AM/WDNL-FM/WRHK-FM received six honors throughout the evening.
First place honors were handed out in the following categories.
Best Radio Personality … Tommy B for “Tommy B’s Big Show”
Best Radio Light Feature … Steve Brandy for his report on “Local Students Hatching Chicks”
Best Commercial Produced on Behalf of an Advertiser … Jocko’s “Scary Good Pizza”
Best Radio Series or Documentary … The March Forth Moments Series
Best Continuing Coverage … The 2022 United Way Radiothon
Best Use of Non-Broadcast Media … The DHS Future Problem Solvers Podcast “Project L.E.N.S.”
All of these honors were within the Small Market Radio Category in Illinois.
