The 4th Annual Fill the Trailer Food Drive has ended with a winning school and more than double last year’s donations. Channel1450.com and title sponsor, Heartland Credit Union, were excited to donate a total of 7,586 pounds of food to the Central Illinois Food Bank. That’s more than double last year’s total!
The high school football team that collected the most food this year was the New Berlin Pretzels. They took the title by knocking off the three-time champion Auburn Trojans by 44-pounds.
The winners of this year’s Fill the Trailer Food Drive will receive t-shirts for the team while the coaching staff will get Channel1450.com quarter zips with their school logos on them.
