THE FOLLOWING IS AN EMERITUS RELEASE
ABOVE: Longtime Danville business owner and civic leader Phyllis Parks, CPA, at right, now retired partner of Daughhetee & Parks Management Consulting, receives a special plaque marking her being given Lifetime Emeritus Membership status with the Farm Financial Standards Council. Making the presentation is Deena Brown, CGB Agri Financial Services, Louisville, KY, current Council president.
In honoring Ms. Parks, Brown cited her years of leadership at the organization including a term as FFSC president in 2011. “It was under Phyllis’ guidance that the leadership had a weekend retreat that year with a focus on evaluating the mission of the Council and defining the direction of the Council as it entered its third decade. She has worked tirelessly for the good of the Council even after she and partner Joe Daughhettee retired from and sold their business.”
Parks was unable to attend the 2023 FFSC Annual Conference in Moline, IL so Council leadership came to Danville to make the presentation. “She was totally surprised and that just added to the enjoyment of the occasion,” Brown said. The Council is a nationwide organization focused on providing financial management guidance to agricultural producers. Membership includes accountants, academics, farmers, lenders, tax advisors, consultants and software companies.
