THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION ADVANTAGE/LEADERSHIP TOMORROW RELEASE
Thursday, November 9th, 2023, was the last meeting and graduation of Vermilion Advantage’s 34th Leadership Tomorrow Class!
Leadership Tomorrow, originally Leadership Danville, was created in 1986 to assist emerging community leaders preparing for leadership positions in local government and community affairs. Community leaders stand up and face the complex issues of today’s world while thoughtfully planning for future generations. Leadership Tomorrow has developed leaders in this courageous pursuit for more than 30 years.
The class is facilitated by Annie Monyok, owner/operator of Monyok Leadership, and supported by Nicole Van Hyfte, Director of the Chamber of Commerce at Vermilion Advantage. Students must participate in 5 of the 6 classes from May through November, attend a day and half local retreat (including the Amazing Race Vermilion County), 80 hours of community service, 12 hours spent with their mentor (who they are paired with upon admittance to the class), and commit to joining one community, philanthropic, or social board, or commitment to run for public office upon graduation.
