THE FOLLOWING IS AN ILLINOIS NEWSWIRE RELEASE
Dieterich, IL – State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) says the $160 million Governor Pritzker is allocating to fund shelter and resettlement for illegal immigrants is money that should be going to pay for programs and services for Illinois citizens.
“Its mind blowing to think we are spending our hard-earned tax dollars on Illegals in Illinois when we have so many issues right here at home,” Niemerg said. “Governor Pritzker allocated 1.1 billion in this year’s budget already and will be coming to the general assembly for more. It’s insane.”
Niemerg said the solution is for Illinois to end its Sanctuary State status and send the immigrants being bussed into our state to places like New York and California.
“Instead of spending our tax dollars on illegals, we need to end the Sanctuary State policy and obey federal immigration laws. Our tax dollars should be going to help Illinois veterans, single mothers, and working households. It’s an insult to taxpayers that they have to pick up the check for illegal immigration,” Niemerg said. “We should enact better policies and transport the illegals in Illinois to woke states like New York and California.”
