AUDIO: So the Bunker Hill Historic Area Open House is actually the kick-off for the light display. That’s the first night all of the lights will be on out around the Bunker Hill area. We have had some of the lights donated from the Brooks Family Christmas Display, and then there’s also new additions that we have purchased here at the Vermilion County Conservation District, that gentlemen who work here have added to the display as well.
“The Holiday Open House provides a unique opportunity to enjoy both the outdoor drive-through light show as well as tour inside several of the historic buildings. Sunday December 3 will be the only day visitors can take in the holiday decor and nostalgia of the early 1900s inside the Atwood Home, Neff Grocery Store, and Print Shop. All the Bunker Hill Historic Buildings have connections with our local history here in Vermilion County which only adds to the enjoyment of the Open House,” Lara Danzl, Environmental Educator for the Vermilion County Conservation District.
