The ribbon has been cut at 603 North Logan in Danville for the new Everside Health Care office. Everside specializes in giving employers the opportunity to provide employees, as part of their benefits package, a place their families can go for primary care focused on total health. Jonathan Taylor, a regional vice-president of sales for Everside, says they want companies to improve employee retention, by helping them stay ahead of the game on health care.

Everside’s first client in Danville is Thyssenkrupp. Thyssenkrupp CEO for Dynamic Components Gary Tucker says Everside answered their need for a change.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: What got us interested was the high cost health care claims that we were seeing with our privatized health insurance. And so we started looking for alternative ways to save money; for not only employees, but the organization as well. And that’s when we were introduced to Everside.

Tyssenkrupp Crankshafts CEO Tom Coursey says he’s glad they were introduced; because this should help bring in more good workers, and keep them on the team.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: It’s been a long time coming, to be honest. And this benefit is just one of the many perks that we’re offering, that we feel can improve the retention of the employee base.
Danville’s Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr says Everside’s arrival is good for Danville, and good for Danville workers’ families.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: Anything that we can do to help keep our families healthy is important. I’m sure that that also cuts down on lack of productivity, absenteeism; so when folks are healthy, they can live a better live. But they’re also better employees because they’re able to be at work.
Also at Friday morning’s Everside ribbon cutting was current State Rep and future President/CEO of Vermilion Advantage Mike Marron. Marron says he’s hoping for many moments like this, after he takes over December 18th for interim Vermilion Advantage leader Todd Lee.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: Hopefully, this is the first of very many ribbon cuttings. That’s the intention. We’re going to keep all all this good momentum going, and capitalize on the good energy.
The two permanent staffers at the Danville Everside Health on Logan are Nurse Practitioner Suzette Astell-Richardson, and Medical Assistant Tina Villaro.
