Youngsters from Salt Fork High School’s Future Farmers of America chapter and from the Danville High School Hispanic Club; and of course, United States Marine Corps Veterans; are all part of the team of volunteers helping with todays (Dec 20th) and tomorrow’s (Dec 21st) Toys for Tots distribution, for those registered ahead of time, at St. James United Methodist Church.
Area coordinator Megan Montgomery says the call for last minute donations for both boys and girls 10 to 12 years of age was heard, but a few final ones down the stretch certainly would not hurt.
AUDIO: I think we’ve gotten several donations so far this morning, so I think we should be real close on our numbers. We are here until 4:30 today.
Very last minute donations first thing tomorrow morning at 8 AM are welcome as well. Those signed up for this year’s Toys for Tots distribution may also arrive tomorrow morning (Thurs December 21st) between 8 and 10 AM.
