THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
Danville, January 9, 2024 – The City of Danville is excited to gather your feedback! We asked local artists to submit designs to be considered for our next City of Danville logo and we received some amazing and creative ideas. 30 artists submitted over 50 designs for your consideration.
You may notice a tagline on many of the logos – “You Decide What’s Possible.” We are so excited to share this with the community as our new City of Danville tagline and we hope that these designs and the tagline make you feel proud.
Community Relations Administrator, Ashton Greer, says, “We are so proud to be a city full of creatives, reflecting our strength of having a strong arts presence in Danville. We are blown away by the quality and number of submissions we received!”
Voting will take place until Wednesday, January 24, 2024. You may vote in person on paper at either Mad Goat location by asking the barista on staff for the survey or you can vote online at this survey link: https://s.surveyplanet.com/h4p19xbd
Only one vote per person will be counted. Please help us select our finalists by placing your votes. This logo will be used in conjunction with our City Seal, not as a replacement. The top five logos chosen by the public will be reviewed by City leadership and narrowed down to choose our winning design. The winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize. The final logo will be announced on February 1, 2024.
