February 1 – March 31: Oscar Buzz Reading Challenge. Bean stack challenge featuring potential nominees for Best Adapted Screenplay.
February 26: Teen Movie Mondays. Every Monday we will show a movie in Teen Zone and have popcorn! Teens can suggest and vote on which movie we watch. 4 – 6 PM.
February 27: Teen Tabletop Tuesdays. Stop by the Teen Zone on Tuesdays to play board/card games and eat snacks! Tuesdays from 4-6 PM in the Teen Zone.
February 27: Tween It! Tuesdays. Fun programs for tweens each Tuesday. This week: Board Games! Board Game Night. Play your favorite game with your friends.
February 27: Wee Wigglers Story Time. Join us for action rhymes, stories, and songs for children ages 5 and under—Tuesdays at 10:00 AM in the 1st Floor Meeting Room.
February 28: Dungeons & Dragons. A tabletop role-playing game that allows teens to quest for treasures and fame, or at the very least hunt enemies. This program is for teens, both those who are new to the game and those who already know the best way to cleave an orc. New players are always welcome! Wednesdays at 4:00 PM in the Teen Zone.
February 28: Rainbow Readers Playgroup. Socialization, play, and STEAM activities for toddlers. Wednesdays from 10 AM- 11 AM. 1st Floor Meeting Room.
February 28: STEAM Team. Activities designed to help students foster creativity and boost critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Wednesdays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the 1st Floor Meeting Room.
February 28: Wordy Wednesdays. Puzzle lovers, mark your calendars! Every Wednesday, head on up to the 2nd-floor Reference Desk for a variety of word puzzles. Available anytime during our regular business hours.
February 29: Anything Tech for Teens. Introducing teens to some of the library’s cool technology, including 3D Printing, 3D Pens, Sphero Balls, Cricut, and a Flight Simulator. Thursdays at 4:00 PM in the Teen Zone.
February 29: Family Bilingual Storytime. Join us for stories, songs, and rhymes in Spanish and English—Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM in the Children’s Department.
March 2: Twilight: A Night in Forks. Join us for this night of nostalgia. Dress as your favorite character, arm wrestle a newborn vampire, listen to folklore about the “cold ones,” and visit your favorite spots in Forks! 6 pm-9 pm Find the sign-up genius link on our Facebook event page to save your spot!
Coloring Contest for all ages: Color a picture and win a prize. Return entries by the end of the month. Entries will be displayed in the Children’s Room. Winners will be notified.
