The Tuesday evening (March 5th) Danville City Council meeting began with Leon Parker being sworn in as the new City of Danville Corporation Counsel by Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr. Parker said afterwards that the seed for this was planted just recently.

But I thought about it, spoke to my wife about it; it seemed like it was a good move. And I’m excited to work with the city, and the team of people that work with the city.
Parker replaces the recently retired James Simon.
