DANVILLE — Those opening a time capsule in 25 years at the Danville Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care Medical Center will find a pickle
ball and disc golf disc representing current recreation at the VA, a 125th anniversary cup, vacuum sealed 125th anniversary documents and photos and
a book written by a veteran patient, a 1944 penny and a smaller 125 year birthday time capsule all honoring the VA employees and veterans.

and a smaller time capsule were buried in a time capsule Wednesday at the
VA bandstand in Danville.
VA officials took part in a ceremony Wednesday morning at the historic VAIlliana bandstand on the Danville VA grounds to dedicate the 125th
anniversary time capsule and honor the legacy of public service.
The time capsule is in honor of 125 years of service to veterans in the region.
The ceremony honored public servants past and present, while looking ahead to the public servants of the future who will open the capsule in 2049.
