Operation Honor Guard’s Day of Giving is once again upon us. On Wednesday, May 15th, you’ll be able to stop by numerous locations where donations are being accepted. As the story is told each year, back in 2013 Sunset Funeral Home’s Rich Darby noticed during a hot funeral that a local Honor Guard unit did not have nice, respectable, updated uniforms for the occasion. Darby thought to himself, “That’s not right, we need to do something;” and a new movement was born. Darby says, never, could he have dreamed, it would grow into what it is today.

I got contacted by media sources that wanted to get involved in this. And right now were are working our way towards a cumulative total of $3 million that we’ve raised since 2013.
And as always, there are plenty of places where you can stop by throughout the day on Wed May 15th to show your support.
