THE FOLLOWING IS A CARLE HEALTH RELEASE
Danville, Ill. – Individuals age 60 or older seeking help with living independently in their own homes need only contact CRIS Healthy Aging in Danville to see if they qualify for the Community Care Program.
Offered through funding from the Illinois Department of Aging, the program is just one connection CRIS Healthy Aging has with support provided by the state. The program offers eligible clients services such as medication dispensers, emergency home response systems and home-delivered meals. There are several openings to join the program today.
“Helping individuals remain independent as they age is at the heart of our organization and we are so fortunate to be the conduit connecting residents with support right in our own neighborhoods,” Lisa Miller, executive director, CRIS Healthy Aging, said.
Each participant is eligible to receive different services. CRIS will schedule a time for a professional care coordinator to visit the home of the potential client to determine the participant’s activity level. If the client is not eligible, the coordinator may provide some alternative connections. Qualifications include being 60 or older, meeting asset requirements, U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen in specific categories, and agreeing to enroll for Medicaid benefits on an annual basis if found eligible to participate.
Please call CRIS today to schedule an appointment for your screening at (217) 443-2999 and ask for Quinn.
