Description of Structure/Property: 2-1/2 story, wooden framed home (Vacant)
Alarm Location/Address: 2603 Cannon Street
Description of Incident:
Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire at 10:10 PM. The first arriving firefighters were met by the resident of the home who had reported to them that he had seen a fire in the front yard of the home and as he went investigate, he noticed a fire around a window. The resident then used a garden hose to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters entered the home to check for any hidden fires. Using a thermal imaging camera device, they located a few additional hot spots in the home. Firefighters overhauled the home and extinguished all remaining fires.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a lighting strike.

Incident Date: Friday, June 14, 2024
Time: 2:29 AM
Description of Structure/Property: Garage
Alarm Location/Address: 511 Commercial Street
Description of Incident:
Firefighters were dispatched to 500 Blk of Commercial Street for a fully involved garage fire. The first arriving units attacked the fire with a hose line and were supported by subsequent arriving firefighters. The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes of arrival. The garage was a total loss.

Fire Cause: Cause of Fire is Under Investigation.
Injuries: No injuries were reported.
