THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE DANS RELEASE
(DANVILLE, IL) – As the Danville Dans work their way to the end of June, there are some special events happening at the games for fans to enjoy.
On Friday, June 21, the Dans will celebrate the “Wurst Night in Baseball.” The Dugout Concessions will be grilling different flavors of Leiding’s Meats bratwurst in the Party Yard – Baron Von Richtor brats, Cheddarwursts, brats with green onion and cheese, cranberry & pineapple brats, and jalapeno brats will be available. In addition, Riggs Brewing will have cans of their seasonal special Citraweizen available in the beer room, which will have Happy Hour from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, with $1 off all beer room drinks. We’ll also have the “wurst” prizes for our fan contests.
Sunday is Dan Day, celebrating our namesake fans. If your name is Dan, Danielle, Danforth, McDaniels, Daniel or any other form of Dan, you get in free on this Sunday. Others get in for $6 on Sundays.
Monday, June 24 is the 10th anniversary of the Dans Bark in the Park celebrations. Fans bringing their four-legged friends to the ballpark get in for just $5.
And Tuesday, June 25 is the annual Rock the Park night with the First Gig Rock ‘n Roll campers and instructors. They’ll be rocking out tunes before and during the game. Tickets on Tuesdays are $3, with $3 concession specials and $2 Busch Lights.
Gates open at 5;30 pm (3:30 pm on Sunday), with the games starting at 6:30 pm (4:30 pm on Sunday).
Danville Dans are in their 36th season and are a founding member of the Prospect League, one of the premier college summer leagues in the nation. Baseball players from California, Texas, Mississippi and all across the Midwest are in Danville to improve their fielding skills and batting with wood bats.
