THE FOLLOWING IS AN INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELEASE
PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary closure of the S.R. 59 bridge over Otter Creek. Beginning on or after Monday, July 8, crews will be closing the roadway over the bridge to replace pipes and a small structure in the area. This is located about two miles north of the Clay/Parke County line north of Brazil and south of Bellmore.
The official detour around the closure is S.R. 59 to U.S.41 to I-70 to U.S. 40 to S.R. 59 on the north side and S.R. 59 to U.S. 40 to I-70 to U.S. 41 to U.S. 36 to S.R. 59 on the south side.
INDOT encourages all drivers to seek an alternate route around the closure and to exercise caution while traveling through and around all work zones.
