THE FOLLOWING IS A VA ILLIANA HEALTH CARE RELEASE
DANVILLE, Ill. – Veterans in Vermillion County, Ill. and Warren and Fountain Counties, Ind. will have the opportunity to enroll in VA care and connect with the services they have earned.
VA Illiana’s VetFest event will be hosted from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Danville Stadium on July 23, 2024. At the event, Veterans will have the opportunity to enroll directly into VA health care, America’s largest integrated health care system and the world leader in Veteran care. Veterans will also have the opportunity to participate in 15-minute Whole Health coaching sessions and a Recreation Therapy activity.
“Thanks to VA’s historic expansion of care under the PACT Act, it has never been a better time for Veterans to enroll in the care they earned and that they deserve,” said Dori Camacho Torres, VA Illiana’s public affairs officer. “We urge all Veterans to apply for care today. You earned it, and we stand ready to serve you.”
VA encourages all Veterans to apply for care as soon as they can. Veterans can apply for VA health care online, over the phone at 877-222-8387, or in person with an enrollment expert at the Danville VA Medical Center or the Bob Michel (Peoria) VA Clinic.
VA Illiana staff who attend the event will have the opportunity to participate in an employee engagement activity. The Veteran Canteen Service (VCS) will have VA and military-themed merchandise for sale.
