Description of Incident:
The Danville Fire Department was called to the 700 Blk of Chandler Street early Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024, for a rubbish fire out of control and spreading to a nearby garage. Firefighters arrived to find a large pile of construction material and debris burning in the backyard of a residence. A garage in close proximity to the fire had just begun to catch fire as firefighters arrived, the fire was brought under control quickly. A neighboring garage was also under threat of fire, as firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is believed to be the result of unattended burning of rubbish too close to the structures.

Fire Cause: Unattended Burning
Injuries: No Injuries.

Description of Structure/Property: 1-1/2 Story, Wood Framed Home
Alarm Location/Address: 512 N Beard Street
Description of Incident:
The Danville Fire Department was called to the 500 Blk of N Beard Street at 10:14 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Upon arrival firefighters reported a large volume of fire coming from the building. Firefighters using multiple handlines brought the fire under control. Firefighters then continued working for several minutes searching the building and extinguishing any remaining fires.
Danville Fire Investigators, who are being assisted by Danville Police Department, the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshals, and the I & I Firefighters Association, have ruled the cause of the fire to be incendiary. Anyone with information regarding this fire is asked to call the Danville Fire Department at (217) 431-2350.
