THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE LIBRARY FOUNDATION RELEASE
The Danville Library Foundation announces the resignation of its Executive Director, Peter Blackmon. In his five years as executive director, Peter led the Library Foundation to continued financial stability, introduced innovative programs, and established partnerships further emphasizing progressive collaboration among Danville’s non-profit community. Peter’s leadership and vision were integral to the many successes the Danville Public Library and the Library Foundation has realized during his tenure. We thank Peter for his steadfast dedication to our community and are excited to see the impact his creative vision will have in all of his future endeavors.
Pete adds “As I have taken this step to write my next chapter, I have to thank the Library Foundation and the amazing staff, who allowed me to be a part of their team, for the inspiration, as it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.”
The search for a new Executive Director of the Danville Library Foundation will begin immediately.
