THE FOLLOWING IS A CUSTARD CUP RELEASE
[Danville, Illinois] –The Custard Cup, a Danville landmark and Vermilion County tradition since 1949, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary with seven and a half days of specials and events to mark the occasion.
The celebration will kick off on Tuesday, August 6, which coincidentally is the 75th day of their season, starting with a presentation of checks to three local non-profit organizations at 11:00 a.m. The community is invited to attend.
“Giving back to the community was a major part of why I purchased The Cup,” said first-year owner Andrew Seibert. “We launched ‘Scoops of Love’ on Day One and customers have embraced it wholeheartedly.” Customers are invited to add a “scoop of love” to their order ($1 donation) for the designated charity of the month; The Custard Cup matches those donations up to $1,000 each month. “Thanks to the generosity of our customers, we’ll be distributing out more than $6,300 between Danville Youth Hockey, CASA of Vermilion County, and the St. James Food Pantry,” Seibert shared.
Over the course of the following week, The Custard Cup will also give back to their customers. In appreciation for their years of patronage, customers can enjoy the following anniversary specials at the Danville location:

· August 7: Old-fashioned Sodas… 75¢ off
· August 8: Snowstorms… 75¢ off
· August 9: Shakes, Malts & Freezes… 75¢ off
· August 10: 1-Scoop Lemon Cones… 49¢
· August 11: Banana Splits… 75¢ off
· August 12: Floats… 75¢ off
· August 13 (12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.): Waffle Cone upgrades… Free
Former employees are invited to gather at The Custard Cup on Saturday, August 10 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. for a staff reunion.
