THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE RELEASE
DANVILLE – Young students from the Child Development Center at Danville Area Community College donated more than 200 pounds of food to the College Foundation’s Food Pantry. The students conducted fundraisers to pay for the donated items. They went with their teachers to the store to pick out the food they would donate.
Shown here from the CDC are Cassandra Simonton, Melissa Hollingsworth, and Tamara Jimson, as well as the DACC Foundation’s Sandy Dreher and Gina Davis. The children pictured are Vivian, Birdie, Jaxson, Elijah, Ava, Rylie, Amelie, Miles, Sophia, Emma, Addisyn, and Lionel. The children are in the summer school-age program at the CDC and are between 5-10 years old.
The DACC Food Pantry is available for current DACC students who might need food for themselves and their families. The Pantry offers a variety of food and hygiene products and is located in Lincoln Hall 224.
