The STEP Recovery Center on Georgetown Road is getting ready for their 5th annual RIDE FOR RECOVERY, which will bring out all kinds of bikes and vehicles on Saturday, August 17th. Kimberly Davis and Wendy Lambert recently joined Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community connection, with Davis giving up a preview.
AUDIO: Registration will be at 10 o’clock, kickstands go up at 11. It’s $20 per driver, $5 per passenger. The ride starts and ends at the STEP Recovery Center, 2500 Georgetown Road. We will have food, music.
IN BLOOM will be performing the music. And as Wendy Lambert reminds us, this RIDE FOR RECOVERY is for all kinds of vehicles; two wheels, four wheels, you name it.
AUDIO: Anything with wheels is welcome. We usually have a bunch of bikes, and then behind them are the Jeep guys; and then other people in recovery just driving their cars. I mean it is a lot of fun. And since IN BLOOM is coming, we’re just going to raise the roof. I mean these guys are amazing anyway; she’s absolutely beautiful.
