Monday, August 12, 2024– Danville Noon Rotary welcomed Jeanie Cooke, Executive Director at Danville Area Visitors’ Bureau. Jeanie spoke about the history of the DAVB and tourism in Danville. From the NJCAA tournament to the Danville Symphony Orchestra Jeanie’s team is instrumental in creating a sense of place and pride in Danville and they are a champion for small businesses and all that makes Danville unique.
With more parks per capital than any other county in Illinois, she encourages enjoyment of the scenic outdoors. Jeanie is also co-owner and General Manager of the Prospect League’s Danville Dans summer collegiate team in Illinois helping bring life back to historic Danville Stadium.
