Red Mask Players’ Children’s Theatre is getting ready for their production of Charlotte’s Web this coming weekend (Sept 6th – 8th). Red Mask’s Jamey Coutant recently joined Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program. She explained that it was Kathryn Randolph’s daughter Jean Lewis who started the Red Mask children’s program, which does a spring and fall show every year.
AUDIO: For the fall show, we try to always go by Jean Lewis’ philosophy; that all children should get a chance to perform on stage. And with that, everyone who auditioned was cast in the show. We have a cast of 25 young people, third grade through eighth grade. They’re from throughout the Vermilion County area, and a few from Indiana as well.
Charlotte’s Web will hit the Kathryn Randolph Theatre stage on Friday, September 6th at 7 PM; 2 PM and 7 PM Saturday, September 7th;; and 2 PM Sunday, September 8th. Go to their Facebook page for tickets, or call 217-442-5858.
