THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION VOLES RELEASE
The Vermilion Voles Vintage Base Ball Club will be hosting a match at Kennekuk County Park on Saturday, September 7 at 12:00PM Central Time. The Voles will be welcoming the Champaign Clippers.
The clubs will play ball as documented in 1858 using replica bats, balls, and uniforms of that era. The rules and customs of 1858 include bound outs and barehanded play.
The Voles’ home field is located along the Kennekuk County Park main road across from the Ironwood Springs Lake Mingo Boat Access parking area. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Parking is available at the ball field site.
