Danville Area Community College will be hosting what is planned to be an annual Mental Health Conference every fall. DACC Assistant Vice-President of Operations Laura Hensgen says the idea was initiated by DACC’s Dr. Jonahon Wade; and professionals who attend can receive continuing education credits.
AUDIO: The conference really was started by Dr. Wade. He is a psychology professor and sociology professor here on campus. And it was his idea to develop this mental health conference, so it’s our first annual. And, really it’s designed for anyone who wants to attend. But people who are either therapists, nurses, or social workers can come and get CEUs for attending the conference.
The conference will be in the DACC Bremer Center, Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th, 8 to 4:30.
