If you would like to vote early in the November 5th election, the time has arrived. Starting Thursday, September 26th; Vermilion County residents outside the Danville city limits can do so at the County Clerk’s Office, on the main floor of the Joseph G. Cannon Vermilion County Office Building at 201 North Vermilion. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM, but they will be closed on Columbus Day, October 14th.
Supervisor of Elections Carrie Wilson reminds us that the Grace Period Voting period, for those that need to make some changes in their records before voting, comes up down the road starting October 8th.
AUDIO: Early Voting is through the whole election. But Grace Period would be if anyone needs to register, update a registration, or change anything; they would do that. But at that point, they have to vote at that time.

City of Danville residents wanting to vote early can do so at the Danville Election Commission office on the lower level of the Cannon Vermilion County Building. Commission director Sandra Delhaye says anyone who’d prefer to vote right at the commission office may do so right on through election day.

Hours are 8 – 4:30 Monday through Friday. The Danville Election Commission office will be open the four Saturdays prior to the election as well, 9 AM to Noon. Delhaye also mentioned, if you are voting in the clerk’s office or the commission office, either way; please allow some extra time to find parking, since there is some construction going on around the Cannon Building.
