Those interested in local history can enjoy something special this coming Saturday, October 5th at Spring Hill Cemetery. Historical Tours, in honor of Spring Hill’s 160th anniversary, will be offered by Board of Directors members from 1 to 4 PM. Board of Directors president Mark Denman explains the plans for these historical walks.
AUDIO: We have five different tours. We have “Notable Women,” “Notable African Americans,” “Friends of Lincoln,” “Unknown History of Spring Hill,” among others. Most of them are an hour long; starting at 1, 2, or 3. And “Friends of Lincoln” is a bit longer, starting at 1 and 2:30.
To sign up for any of these Saturday, October 5th tours, just call the Spring Hill Cemetery office at 217-442-0334. A rain date is set for October 12th.
