The year’s First Fridays events in Downtown Danville turn the calendar to October this Friday with another Glow Downtown 5K. The forecast looks great, and as Community Relations Coordinator Caleb Bryant reminds us; if you’re not signed up yet, just stop by Friday and do it.
AUDIO: People can come there and sign up in person on the same day from 5 to 6. And then registration for the race is $10. People definitely come out decked out in their neon outfits. And we’re going to have all kinds of glow gear that people can take advantage of. We’re got glow glasses and glow sticks; and all kinds of different things that people can enjoy while they’re running.
The entire First Fridays event goes 5 to 8 PM, with the Glow Downtown 5K participants starting up at 6:30.
