It was a special moment on Friday (Oct 25th) morning when the new OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center building was officially welcomed to Friendly town. Built by Brough Remodeling and funded by a donation from Sara Snyder, the new hospital along Friendly Town’s roads is yet another piece of the Friendly Town renovation project. Danville Police Chief Christopher Yates says they are not done yet. Next, he’s hoping to put a new classroom on the Friendly Town grounds.

AUDIO: This isn’t just a Danville Police project. This isn’t an OSF only project. This is a complete community project; and it has taken that. We’ve had over 3,000 hours, community hours, out here; from different people in the community. And it’s hard to keep track of.
OSF Sacred Heart President J.T. Barnhart says this is yet another way to be visible in the community.

AUDIO: Our focus is on improving lives and being a good community partner, and this project just made so much sense as kind of a reflection of that.
The dedication and blessing of the new OSF building was completed in time for it to be part of Friendly Town’s BOO BASH, set for 5 to 7 PM Saturday, October 26th.
