Although all the attention seems to be on next Tuesday’s Presidential Election, some potential candidates are already looking ahead to the consolidated elections next spring.
Eleven people had picked up candidate petition packets by Monday afternoon to possibly run for seats on the Danville City Council. They include Robert Williams and Deonla Brooks in ward 1…Carolyn Wands in ward 2…Catherine Osteber in ward 3…Tricia Teague in ward 4…Michael Puhr in ward 5…James Poshard and Richard Brady in ward 6…and James “Doug” Ahrens and Barry Johnson in ward seven.
The petition filing period runs November 12th through 18th for the April 1st, 2025 Consolidated Election. School board and other positions will also be on the spring ballot.
Citizens interested in running for village board seats should check with the village clerk’s office in their community.
