Coffee drinkers, or anyone who stops into Mad Goat Coffee, have a unique opportunity all through November to donate to United Way of Danville. Current campaign co-chair Hayley Siefert (along with Annie Monyok) recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. Siefert explained that the “United we Brew” movement is all about purchasing a “virtual cup of coffee” for five dollars while you’re there.
AUDIO: So if you go buy a coffee from Mad Goat, there’s a little sleeve on it. It gives you a very easy way to donate to the United Way. There’s a QR code on there. We’re really just asking for five dollars to donate to our campaign this year. We have a really hefty goal of 500,000.
As Hayley Siefert reminded all of us, a five dollar donation can do a lot of good.
AUDIO: When you’re drinking your coffee, you realize that one coffee could feed one child a week. So we have partnered with Rose Gates and Feed the Children. And I think she’s feeding over 400 kids every weekend. And five dollars feeds one child, so that’s really what we’re trying to do with this “United We Brew.”
And remember all funds donated stay in the Danville area. You can hear more about the 20 agencies and 27 programs benefitting from United Way of Danville by tuning in to Tommy B’s interview with Hayley Siefert. Just go to https://vermilioncountyfirst.com/big-show-bites-podcast/
