Danville, IL — 11/18/24 The Danville Public Library Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of Natalie Duncan as its new Executive Director. With a strong background in leadership, community engagement, and a passion for fostering education and cultural growth, Natalie is set to lead the Foundation into an exciting new chapter.
Natalie brings over 15 years of professional experience, including roles in real estate, insurance, and community-focused initiatives. Known for her innovative thinking and creative leadership style, she is committed to strengthening the Foundation’s mission of supporting and enhancing the Danville Public Library’s programs and services. “I’m honored to join the Danville Public Library Foundation and contribute to the incredible work being done to serve our community,” Natalie said. “Libraries are essential spaces for learning, creativity, and connection, and I look forward to working with the Foundation to ensure the library remains a vibrant resource for everyone in Danville.”
As Executive Director, Natalie will lead the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, community outreach, and strategic planning to advance its support of the library. Her vision includes expanding partnerships, increasing engagement with the community, and exploring reimagined ways to enhance library services and programs.
The Danville Public Library Foundation Board of Directors shared their excitement about Natalie’s appointment. “Natalie’s dedication to community development and her leadership skills make her the perfect choice to guide the Foundation into a bright future,” said Terri Cummings. “We are confident she will inspire growth and collaboration as we work together to serve the library and the community.”
The community is invited to meet Natalie at an upcoming event, A Holly, Jolly Welcome for Natalie! on December 18th, from 4:30–6:30 PM at the Danville Public Library. This festive event will include refreshments, holiday-themed activities, and an opportunity to connect with Natalie personally.
