A letter from 5th Judicial Circuit of Illinois Chief Circuit Judge Thomas O’Shaughnessy has announced the passing of the retired David J. Ryan.
Ryan was a former Assistant State’s Attorney, and a longtime partner in the Danville firm remembered as Dukes, O’Rourke. Over the past three years, Ryan had served the court as a commissioner of the Danville Election Commission.
The letter concluded by saying that “In the court’s tradition, as a symbol of its respect, mourning, and salute to the memory of David J. Ryan, the Vermilion County Courthouse flag will be lowered to half-mast.
