Danville Police are asking for help from the public as they investigate a triple shooting that occurred this (Wednesday) afternoon. In a news release, Chief Christopher Yates said officers responded to a business in the 1900 block of East Main Street around 2:45 p.m. for a report of shots fired with several victims.
When they arrived, officers found one shooting victim who was still on the scene. Officers subsequently learned that two other victims were transported to a local hospital by personal vehicles.
Chief Yates says the investigation is in the very early stages and no information was immediately released on the conditions of the victims. He added more information will be provided as it is obtained.
