It’s a busy Friday evening coming up in Danville. Danville High School has a home basketball game, Dashers hockey has a home game; and in Downtown Danville, it’s the First Fridays NIGHT OF LIGHTS PARADE. The annual parade, set to go with over 50 floats and much more, will head through Downtown Danville on North Vermilion, coming to a stop once again in the Towne Center parking lot.
Danville Community Relations Coordinator Kaleb Bryant says you’ll be seeing a familiar theme, and hearing a familiar voice.
AUDIO: We’re just kind of going along with the Festival of Trees theme, NORTH POLE MAGIC. And it will feature different businesses and organizations, and different groups that will be in the parade. Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr will be making float announcements at the Fischer Theatre marquis, and then along with that there will hot chocolate and other concessions that people can enjoy during the parade.
Friday’s NIGHT OF LIGHTS PARADE in Downtown Danville will begin at 6 PM.
