The Danville Fire Department reports no injuries from a Monday evening abandoned house fire at 1226 Clarence Street. The alarm was received at 6:50 PM; and first responders found fire and smoke showing from the roof upon arrival. A second alarm was requested, and approximately 18 firefighters responded to assist with operations. Fire units were cleared at 9:55 PM.
This fire remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Danville Fire Department at 217-431-2350. Assisting Agencies included Ameren, AMT, the Danville Police Department, and Danville Public Works.
