THE FOLLOWING IS AN OSF RELEASE
The well-being and safety of our patients and their families remain at the heart of everything we do.
Due to widespread respiratory illnesses, we are recommending — rather than requiring — that patients and visitors wear a mask in our hospitals, hospice home and clinics. This change acknowledges the importance of personal choice while still encouraging practices that help protect vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly, infants and those with weakened immune systems from COVID-19, influenza and RSV.
We’re also temporarily limiting hospital and hospice home visitors to two adults (18+) per patient at a time. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances such as end-of-life situations.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize everyone’s health and safety.
