Time of Incident: 2:49 PM
Description of Structure/Property: Fully involved Garage Fire with Extension to 1-1/2-Story Residence in Normal Use
Alarm Location/Address: 112 Grace Street
Description of Incident:
The Danville Fire Department was called to 100 Blk of Grace Street at 2:49 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, for a reported garage fire. Responding firefighters were initially delayed by a train. Upon arrival firefighters reported a fully involved detached garage on fire with fire extension into the home.
Residents of the home reported to firefighters that everyone was out of the structure upon arrival. Firefighters deployed a large master stream to control the garage fire. While other crews worked to extinguish the house fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, as of this writing, the cause remains undetermined.
The Red Cross was notified to provide support to the family.

Time of Incident: 01:51 AM
Description of Structure/Property: Single-Story Wood Frame Residence in Normal Use
Alarm Location/Address: 17 N State Street
Description of Incident:
The Danville Fire Department was called to the Unit Blk of North State Street at 1:51 AM on Friday, January 25, 2025, for a report of possible structure fire. A resident of the home woke up and smelled smoke. Residents got everyone out of the home and phoned 9-1-1.
Responding, firefighters arrived and reported smoke showing from the residence. Firefighters pulled a handline and entered the home to extinguish the fire. The fire was brought under control quickly. Firefighters remained on scene to extinguish and overhaul the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, as of this writing, the cause remains undetermined.
The Red Cross was notified to provide support to the family. Ameren also assisted firefighters with utilities.

Time of Incident: 04:52 AM
Description of Structure/Property: Single-Story Wood Frame Residential (Unoccupied)
Alarm Location/Address: 79 Lake Street
Description of Incident:
The Danville Fire Department was called to Unit Blk of Lake Street at 4:52 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, for a reported smoke coming from a residence. Upon arrival firefighters reported the fire had extended through the roof.
The home did have utilities but was not occupied at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Anyone with information about this fire should call the Fire Department at (217) 431-2350.
Ameren assisted by disconnecting the utilities to the home. The building is a complete loss.
